We use completely paperless charts for all new patients. This keeps costs down and allows our staff to answer your concerns instead of being bogged down in paperwork. When you call our office you will get answers quickly instead of the usual "can you hold" while the staff member gets up to find the paper chart and pulls out papers. We can also show you pictures or x-rays of your teeth quickly and efficiently when you are in the office.
This also means that your records are not accessible to anyone outside of our staff. People that typically have access to medical and dental buildings after hours cannot get into your private information.
CEREC is system that produces crowns, onlay and inlays using computer assisted technologies including 3D photography and CAD/CAM. Your restoration can be made in a single visit without the usual second visit needed with these type of procedures.
The tooth is first photographed and stored as a three dimensional digital model. Then software is used to create a restoration shape that looks exactly like your tooth should look. When the model is complete, a milling unit cuts the actual restoration out of a ceramic block using diamond head cutters under computer control. When complete the exceptionally strong restoration is bonded to the tooth. Simple, easy, and all in one visit - allowing you to get back to the important events in your life.
There are many reasons that digital radiography is fast becoming the standard for today's dentistry. First and foremost is the fact that with digital x-rays the amount of radiation, which is already low in dentistry, is cut by as much as 75% over conventional x-ray technology.
Secondly, there are no chemicals to process, which is better for the environment. Also, using no film eliminates the chemicals involved in the making of film by the film manufacturer.
Third, the X-ray picture gets to the doctor faster which can shorten your dental appointment.
Lastly, is that we can bring your X-ray picture up onto a computer monitor for you to see what we see. You will be able to see the growth of molars (wisdom teeth) or tooth decay for yourself.
The use of laser technology in medicine has increased greatly in recent years, and many patients are familiar with the benefits of lasers for medical procedures. In our office, we use a laser to provide our patients the following advantages:
Lasers do not make whining sounds or other annoying noises. You may experience the sound of a rush of air, since air suction is often used to keep the area cool and clean. You should be able to relax and be comfortable while the dental laser is in use. With laser surgery, there is a reduced need for local anesthesia, bleeding is minimized, swelling is controlled, and there is usually little, if any, post-operative discomfort.
We do file insurance claims as a courtesy to our patients. Our office sends insurance claims electronically which lowers cost of filing claims therefore keeping our prices lower. It also means speedy payments back to you if your insurance companies send payments directly to you. There is much less chance of your claim getting lost in the mail. All in all electronic claims is the fastest most economical method of getting claims paid with a minimum of interruption.
Again to keep costs down we employ Electronic Billing. Our front desk staff will be available to answer your calls instead of being bogged down with paperwork.
